🕶 L7: A História da Banda

L7 is a band from Los Angeles formed by Donita Sparks, Suzi Gardner, Jennifer Finch, and Dee Plakas in 1985. They have released 7 studio albums: L7 (1988), Smell the Magic (1990), Bricks Are Heavy (1992), Hungry for Stink (1994), The Beauty Process: Triple Platinum (1997), Slap Happy (1999), and Scatter The Rats (2019). Considered a punk/grunge band, their success was boosted by the explosion of Nirvana's Nevermind. In the 90s, L7 gained great recognition, playing at major festivals such as Reading Festival, Lollapalooza, and Hollywood Rock here in Brazil, their biggest show. L7 created the Rock for Choice foundation to defend civil liberties and women's rights, such as reproductive rights, in partnership with the feminist association Majority, with numerous benefit concerts featuring major bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joan Jett, Mudhoney, Pearl Jam, Offspring, Iggy Pop, Fugazi, Beastie Boys, etc. Participated in the albums: Virus 100: Dead Kennedy Covers, with the song "Let's Lynch the Landlord", which also includes bands like Faith No More, Napalm Death and Sepultura. Soundtrack of the film "Mommy's Dead" with the song "Gas Chamber". Soundtrack of the movie “Tank Girl” (Detonando o Futuro) with the track "Shove". Soundtrack of the movie “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, with the track "This Ain't The Summer Of Love".
