Fischer contre Geller . Le génie contre sa Némésis (1) #échecs
Bobby Fischer (1943-2008) and Efim Geller (1925-1998) were two true chess geniuses. They faced each other 10 times between 1961 and 1970. While Fischer is one of the three greatest players in the history of the game, Geller was one of the most brilliant, whose shortcomings prevented him from competing in a World Championship. Fischer had a very difficult time against Geller, who sought the Truth in chess. And yet, he was considerably younger. In this series of videos, I propose to examine these uncompromising games between these two champions. I begin with their first encounter, which took place in 1961. It demonstrates both the strengths and weaknesses of a Geller on the edge, against a Fischer who was never afraid of anything. #fischer #geller
