Faith Alone… Or You’re Not Saved | Voddie Baucham, Paul Washer, R. C. Sproul

Most people think the gospel requires something from them. More effort. More obedience. More righteousness. But what if that belief is exactly what’s keeping you from being saved? This sermon exposes the dangerous confusion between what the gospel requires and what the gospel produces. Scripture is clear. Salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone. Not faith plus works. Not obedience plus effort. Christ did everything necessary for your justification. The truth is sobering. You bring nothing to your salvation except the sin that made it necessary. Your righteousness cannot save you. Only the perfect life and substitutionary death of Jesus Christ can justify you before a holy God. This message confronts legalism, destroys moralism, and points you back to the only hope sinners have. The finished work of Christ. If you misunderstand this, the gospel stops being good news and becomes a burden. But when you see it clearly, it changes everything. Why this matters today: Many professing Christians are trusting in a mixture of faith and works. But the Bible teaches justification by faith alone. If your hope is in anything other than Christ, you are on the broad road that leads to destruction. Repent. Believe. Trust Christ fully.
