This Combine Has Been in 7 Videos… So I Finally Named It

SHOP DOG CBX is back, and we’re inspecting two John Deere combines in this one! We start with a John Deere S780 combine inspection, going over the highlights, the wear points, and the repairs it’s going to need before it’s ready to go. This machine is going to need some work. Then we move over to a John Deere S680 that has shown up on the channel again and again over the years. After looking back through all the videos I’ve done on this combine, I realized it has been through enough to finally deserve a name. So meet ROCKY — the S680 that takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’. We take a look back at the previous videos and repairs with a ROCKY-style montage, then get into another inspection to see what it needs this time. After everything this combine has been through, it’s actually not too bad, which makes sense considering all the work that’s been done to keep it going. Then we head back to the shop for a behind-the-scenes look at what happens after a combine inspection — quoting repairs, ordering parts, and getting everything lined up to keep that green iron moving.
