The Real Ghostbusters was animated in Japan | 1990 TV DOCUMENTARY

This edited version of a 1990 documentary originally broadcast in the UK, shows the inception of the animated The Real Ghostbusters TV series — along with the step by step process of creating each episode, including the animation process conducted by anime studios in Japan. While the thumbnail for this video displays the TOEI animation logo, only some seasons of The Real Ghostbusters were animated by TOEI. Most of the episodes were animated by Japan's KK C&D, which is the animation studio featured in this documentary. The host of this tv segment was arrested on 12 counts of ...well, if you paid close attention during the first couple minutes of the video, you'll know... 🤬 MORE ON THAT HERE: https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/austral... Despite that awful human being lending his face and voice to 10% of this tv documentary, the other 90% focuses on the actual creators of both the Ghostbusters movies and The Real Ghostbusters animated series, with rare interviews and incredible insight into how the production of such a project was constructed in the 1980's. So it's worth the watch. I also edited some parts down, made sure that creep is identified properly, and added a few additional touches here and there - very minimal outside of the opening minute or two. The Real Ghostbusters holds a very special place in my heart and memory. For those of us that grew up with both the movies and this cartoon, it was much more than just 30 minute Saturday morning toy commercial — it didn't talk down to kids, or try to soften the stories. It scared the hell out of us, while at the same time, taught us how to be strong in the face of the seemingly supernatural... and even how to have fun with it. *NOTE: I am not monetizing this video.
