The Marabou Minnow - Get After Deep Bass
The Marabou Minnow is an excellent fly for targeting bass when the top water bite turns off and you must reach the cooler, deeper part of the lake. During the summers here in Central Texas, it is hard to catch bass on top of the water unless it is early in the morning or later in the evening. When fishing in the 104-degree heat, I'll tie on a Marabou Minnow and fish it along as much structure as I can find.
