🇨🇳 🇰🇵 Inside China-North Korea Border Morning Market tour: street Food and Daily Life in Dandong
For this journey, I’ve traveled to Dandong, a city in Liaoning Province sitting directly on the border between China and North Korea. Dandong looks across the Yalu River toward North Korea. In this area, the river is roughly 500 meters wide, while at its narrowest points, the two countries are separated by only a few dozen meters. Just across the river is Sinuiju, one of North Korea’s largest cities. So, what is everyday life really like along the China–North Korea border? And what kinds of local Korean-Chinese dishes can you discover here? To get a real feeling for how people live, there’s no better place than a traditional countryside market. Inside, you’ll find classic Northeastern Chinese specialties alongside unique Korean-Chinese foods that reflect the culture of this border region. #ChinaNorthKoreaBorder #NorthKorea #ChinaMarket #Dandong
