Rossini's 'opera buffa' (comic opera) Barber of Seville was composed in 1816 ~ in the opera, Figaro sings the famous "Largo al factotum" (I am the factotum of all the town) as he informs everyone of his many deeds & accomplishments. Giacchino Rossini (1792-1868) was a prolific composer of several operas, vocal selections, instrumental works. . . . .
