In the third round of the Ryuo title match held on the 18th, Yuki Sasaki 8-dan faced Kanta Sakaki 5-dan, with Sakaki 5-dan winning in 91 moves. Sasaki 8-dan aimed to become the challenger for the seven-game series for the third consecutive year, but fell short. Sakaki 5-dan will face Shintaro Saito 8-dan in the next round.
