Your Lucky Charm against Trickery and Deceit ☘️ #storytelling #ireland #story
We’re living in a world of images and it can be downright dizzying at times! Human beings have never before had to sift through so much information, and it’s a daunting task. I have good news for you, though. You – yes, every single one of you watching this – possess a lucky charm that will help you to see clearly through trickery and illusions, but there’s one catch. You might not be aware that you have it! Today, I want to share with you a tale from 1936 that gives us guidance on how to recognize what’s true and not sell ourselves short. Question: What is the “charm” or touchstone that keeps you in touch with the Truth? Source: “The Four-Leafed Shamrock and the Cock” in Folktales of Ireland, edited and translated by Sean O’Sullivan. Told by Míchéal Ó Siocfhradha, collected by Tadhg Ó Murchadha, March 1936. WHAT IS THIS CHANNEL ABOUT? This channel sits at the crossroads where Irish tradition and folklore meet creative living and practice. I'm sharing what I've learned from 25 years as a teacher of Irish folklore and language and from 50 years as a conscious creator. My heart's desire is to inspire you to live and create with JOY and EAGERNESS. WHO AM I?
