Autism and the Microbiome--Coffee Convo April 2026
This presentation is part of the Lurie Center for Autism Coffee Convo Series. The Lurie Center for Autism invites you to join Marcy Kingsbury, PhD, for a presentation and discussion on the role of the gut microbiome in individuals with autism. Topics covered will include commonly observed gastrointestinal issues and symptoms, how the microbiome is shifted in ASD, and how diet shapes the gut microbiome and GI health. Dr. Kingsbury will also discuss the new research frontiers currently being explored to more accurately assess the role of the microbiome in ASD.
