Dermatologist: The Truth About Spicule Creams (Part 2)
#dermatologistskincare #drdray In my last video, I shared something most spicule cream brands don't make clear: how long these tiny spicules actually are, and as a result, how deep they may reach into your skin. That video raised a lot of questions — so I went back and checked my work. This is Part 2. After the first video, I re‑measured the spicules using a calibration tool, looked at more high‑power fields, and measured more spicules than before. My findings didn't change: the spicules are longer than most people realize, and that length isn't clearly disclosed to consumers. In this video, I answer the questions that kept coming up in the comments: • "I already used them — what do I do now?" (Short answer: don't lose sleep.) • Do you have to throw your product away? • Where leftover product may be lower‑risk to use, and where I'd avoid it • The potential — and still unverified — long‑term risks: allergic sensitization and foreign body granulomas, and why these can take years to show up • Why being a board‑certified dermatologist absolutely qualifies me to talk about this • An honest look at the money: why warning you actually costs me income instead of earning it A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES These are potential risks, not proven outcomes. As of now there are no reported cases tied to these products — but they're new, and the reactions I describe can take years to appear. No one can promise they will or won't happen. My goal isn't to tell you what to do. It's to make sure you can decide with the full picture: risks and benefits, not just a marketing claim that a new product is completely safe.
