In this episode of How I See Things, we analyze the California Attorney General's strong allegations regarding conditions inside private immigration detention centers. Following inspections and investigations, authorities concluded that already deficient conditions have worsened and described them as "cruel and inhumane." The report denounces a lack of access to clean water, nutritious meals, medical care, sufficient staff, and basic services for immigrants in federal custody. It also warns that many detainees are not receiving the minimum care they need. In addition, we analyze the increase in immigrants detained in California. The number rose from approximately 2,300 people in 2023 to more than 6,000 in 2024–2025, while increasingly discreet immigration operations continue in various parts of the country. We also closely follow the shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego, where authorities reported that the threat was neutralized. The incident occurred while children and school activities were taking place at the complex, and authorities are investigating possible motives, including whether it could be a hate crime. The investigation is ongoing.
