In this special episode, we speak with Leonardo Aboim Pires, a researcher at ISEG Research in Economics and Management, about the history of agriculture in 19th and 20th century Portugal. We analyze the agricultural policies of the Portuguese State roughly between 1850 and 2000, with a particular focus on potato cultivation in Trás-os-Montes and orange cultivation in the Algarve.
