A Day At The Illinois Railway Museum 6/20/26

IRM time once again. Today me and some friends made a visit out to the Illinois Railway Museum with the intention of seeing Shay 5 pull the coach train and upon learning that a demonstration freight train would be running as well, we would plan on seeing that too. What we didn't expect was that IRM had fired up the recently repaired BNSF 6976 for a special Brunch Train for a private party, which added a lot more variety to the day than we were originally expecting. Aside from that, we had a pretty nice day, the weather wasn't too hot or too cold, the trains were great, and we even got a glimpse at the newest resident at IRM, WCCH SD20 #1802. But all in all, it was just a good day to hang out with my friends. Enjoy! Trains Operating: BNSF 6976 with the Brunch Coach Train J.
