An AeroPress Cold Brew You Have Probably Never Tried (Coffee Recipe)
It's summer, which means it's time to enjoy some cold brews! The main problem with the cold brew is that the room temperature is pretty bad at extracting stuff from the grounds. In this video, I'm going to show an method to accelerate the extraction with the Puck Percolation AeroPress method. Alan Adler's Cold Brew Recipe on the European Coffee Trip channel: • How to AeroPress Cold-Brew Coffee in Two M... My post about cold brew concentrate at a shorter ratio (18g coffee, 70g room temp water) using Alan Adler's recipe: • Post My post about cold brew concentrate at a shorter ratio (18g coffee, 72g room temp water) using my approach: • Post THE RECIPE (My approach): IMPORTANT: This approach is very versatile and feel free to adjust the variables and dial in to your preferred cup! What is written below is my preference, you can increase/decrease your dose, ratio, grind size, steep time, press time etc. Hope you find your ideal cup of cold brew! 15g coffee, fine/near espresso-fine grind size (ZP6S at 0.5) 150g room temperature water Yield: ~133g of cold brew concentrate 1) Grind 15g of coffee at fine grind size. 2) Put a paper filter on the AeroPress cap and screw the cap on. 3) Add ground coffee to AeroPress, shake it and drop it to level the grounds. 4) Put the paper filter on top and push it down with the plunger to tamp the coffee. Remove the plunger. 5) Add top paper filter to the puck, remove the air between the paper filter and the puck using an Aeropress stirrer or a spoon. 6) Add the room temperature water. 7) Insert the plunger and press slowly for 2 min. You can stop pressing at any point after pressing out some portion to let the coffee steep and extract more. 8) Dilute to taste with water, ice or anything you like. Enjoy your brew! Other brews in this video: Modified Alan Adler's Recipe: 15g ground coffee, 150g room temperature water, stir for 5 min, press. Modifications are: increased the amount of water from 60-70 to 150g; extended the stirring time from 1 min to 5 min. Traditional Cold Brew: 15g ground coffee, 150g room temperature water, stir 3 times and let it steep for 8h. After 8h, swirl, filter out the concentrate.
