Eddie Robinson: A Life Celebrated | 2010
A 2010 documentary chronicling the life and career of Eddie Robinson, the head football coach of Grambling State University from 1941-1997. During his career, Coach Robinson won 408 games and sent over 200 players to the NFL. The documentary covers Robinson’s development of the Grambling football program, his fight against segregation, and the success of his players in the NFL, including Paul “Tank” Younger, Willie Brown, and Doug Williams. It also showcases the opening of the Eddie G. Robinson Museum on the Grambling campus, including speeches by Secretary of State Jay Dardenne, Eddie Robinson, Jr., Notre Dame Football Coach Brian Kelly, and former Grambling Baseball Coach Wilbert Ellis. The documentary also includes interviews with Willie Brown, Doug Williams, Pittsburgh Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin, NBA Hall of Famer Willis Reed, and Wilbert Ellis. Host: Charlie Whinham
