I have never played a guitar with stainless steel frets, but I can tell you they are no more difficult than nickel-silver frets to install. Some say they can't really hear or feel the difference, so I guess the advantage would be longevity. The cost of Stainless will cost 25 to 30% more than nickel-silver.
