A 19-year-old B.Com second-year student, Siya Guleria, was brutally murdered in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district (Sarkaghat). The accused allegedly attacked her on the way to college on the morning of April 13, beheading her and severing her arm. After committing the crime, he fled the scene but was later caught by local villagers and handed over to the police. The weapon used in the Murder, a sharp agricultural tool known as a ‘darat’, has been recovered. Reports suggest the culprit was addicted to drugs, though the exact motive behind the murder remains unclear.
