The Spice Isle Hawks faced hosts Whitefriars in the semi final of the Whitefriars International U19 Tournament after an impressive tournament run. In one of our toughest and most competitive games of the tour, the Hawks battled until the final buzzer but narrowly fell 49-43. The six-point defeat ended our hopes of reaching the championship game, but the team's performance demonstrated just how much they had grown over the course of the week. From our first practice game to competing in a tournament semi final, the players showed resilience, determination and continuous improvement against strong UK opposition. The experience gained throughout the tour will be invaluable as the programme continues to develop. The Hawks would go on to finish 3rd overall in the tournament, a fantastic achievement for a team making its first international appearance.
