Chan Chun Sing explains why S Iswaran's CPIB arrest was not disclosed earlier

Minister-in-charge of the Public Service Chan Chun Sing told parliament on Wednesday (Aug 2) why the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) did not disclose that Transport Minister S Iswaran was arrested on Jul 11 when it issued a press release on Jul 12, saying he is assisting an investigation. "At that point, CPIB did not state that Minister Iswaran had been arrested, as it had wanted to first establish more facts of the case, including hearing his side of the story," he said.
