And while it's something that occurs very commonly in humans, our pets, dogs and cats, are not left out and can also suffer from it. In this week's video, we want to tell you the story of Tara and Rosa's overcoming difficulties. Tara is a German Shepherd dog suffering from cancer in her anal glands. Her family, Rosa, refused to give up, and while some people recommended putting her to sleep, she preferred to opt for chemotherapy to give her a better quality of life. This hasn't been an easy decision. And although Tara isn't getting worse and is physically in pretty good shape, running, jumping, and showing no pain, chemotherapy can cause certain inconveniences and won't affect all of our furry companions equally. Here we'll answer all your questions about cancer in pets, including what chemotherapy treatment is like, its side effects, how you'll know, whether it's expensive or inexpensive, and everything the family of an animal living with this serious disease might have to consider.
