In this video I share: my personal experience difficulties I experienced in Japanese school the difference between everyday Japanese and academic Japanese the challenges of bilingual children Brazilian school vs. Japanese school the job market and the guilt that many parents carry in their hearts. Often the child: ✔ speaks well in Japanese ✔ makes friends ✔ seems fluent But still: 📌 has enormous difficulty in school subjects. And this doesn't mean laziness. I also talk about: children who manage to develop both languages children who end up focusing only on Japanese and children who get stuck in the middle, failing to develop either language well.
