Hiperparatiroidismo: Causas, síntomas, tratamiento

Learn all about hyperparathyroidism from Dr. Rodrigo Arrangoiz, a prominent Oncologic Surgeon and member of Top Doctors. https://www.topdoctors.mx/doctor/rodr... Hyperparathyroidism is a disorder in which the parathyroid glands in the neck produce too much parathyroid hormone (PTH). The four small parathyroid glands are located in the neck, near or attached to the back of the thyroid gland. The parathyroid glands help control the body's use and elimination of calcium through the production of parathyroid hormone (PTH). PTH helps control levels of calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin D in the blood and bones. In most cases, there are no specific symptoms of the disease (it is a silent disease), or very vague symptoms that may not lead to a diagnosis. When they occur, the most common symptoms are: fatigue, irritability, difficulty concentrating, memory loss, depressed mood, bone pain, abdominal pain, kidney stones, and osteoporosis (the latter can manifest as fractures). In the long term, hyperparathyroidism can also cause kidney failure. To find the best doctors specializing in hyperparathyroidism, visit: https://www.topdoctors.mx/hiperparati...
