Episode 1176 On the day of the match with Bessie Street and Regent's Road, Terry (John Barratt) feels unwanted and walks away. Ivy (Lynne Perrie) struggles at work. Billy (Kenneth Farrington) returns after 2 months away. Bessie Street wins despite being one short. Concerned about Terry, Ken (Bill Roache) goes to see Rita (Barbara Knox) again and explains to her that he’s a widow. Annie (Doris Speed) gets a call at the Rovers to inform Hilda (Jean Alexander) that Stan (Bernard Youens) has gotten into an accident with his lorry and is in hospital. Ivy fights with Edna (Mavis Rogerson) when she insinuates there is something between her and Alan (Alan Browning). Elsie’s (Pat Phoenix) boss, John Fitzpatrick (Terence Sewards) walks in and on finding Alan in Elsie's office blames her for the fight.
