Along with the Renegade, the Jeep Compass was the first model to introduce the 4xe badge, which today identifies the new Jeep 4x4: it ensures even greater capability and performance, guaranteeing the optimal balance between efficiency, driving fun, and environmental friendliness. The new restyled model features a refreshed exterior that exudes elegance and modernity, along with an entirely new interior. The cabin has been enhanced with new, high-tech features designed to improve comfort and on-board experience, making the urban driving experience more intuitive. These include the 10.25-inch full HD digital instrument panel, DAB radio, the Uconnect 5 system with an 8.4- to 10.1-inch touchscreen repositioned high in the center of the dashboard to allow the driver to always keep their eyes on the road, a five-times faster processor, the Android operating system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, interactive TomTom navigation with 3D view and natural voice recognition, and Uconnect Services. Furthermore, the interior has been made even more functional with a new center console layout and a nearly three-fold increase in storage space, equivalent to 4.4 liters (from 2.8 liters in the previous version to 7.2 liters in the new model). The new dashboard boasts a more contemporary and distinctive style, featuring premium materials and prominent technical details, from the new center console to the new steering wheel, new door panel trim, and even new interior finishes and materials. On the 4xe versions, the 1.3-liter turbo engine is combined with an electric motor located on the rear axle and powered by an 11.4 kWh battery that can be recharged while driving or via an external power outlet: at home, via a domestic socket, using the efficient and exclusive easyWallbox or the advanced Connected Wallbox, or from a public charging point. The efficient 1.3-liter turbo engine alone delivers two power outputs, 130 hp and 180 hp, with the electric motor adding 60 hp for a total of 190 hp (Longitude and Limited versions) and 240 hp (Trailhawk and S). In terms of torque, the electric motor produces 250 Nm and the internal combustion engine 270 Nm. Thanks to the combination of the internal combustion engine and the electric motor, the New Compass 4xe ensures extraordinary performance and driving pleasure: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in approximately 7.5 seconds (depending on the version) and a top speed of 130 km/h in electric mode and up to 200 km/h in hybrid mode. Range is between 47 and 49 km (WLTP cycle), depending on the version. On long journeys, thanks to the internal combustion engine, average CO2 emissions range between 44 and 47 g/km in hybrid mode (WLTP cycle) depending on the version. For extended off-road use, the two electric motors with powerloop function ensure full eAWD traction, allowing for worry-free extreme adventures. The Trailhawk trim—the specialized version with segment-leading 4x4 capability and Trail Rated certification—is characterized by a rugged and aggressive appearance and features specific off-road equipment, including high-performance suspension and unparalleled reference angles (approach angle of 30.4 degrees, departure angle of 33.3 degrees, breakover angle of 20.9 degrees, and ground clearance of 21.3 cm). The Trailhawk also comes standard with the Selec-Terrain traction control system with five modes, including a model-specific Rock mode. The price list in Italy starts from Euro 29,850 for the versions equipped with the 1.3 petrol engine with 130 HP in the Longitude trim, up to the top of the range with the Trailhawk and S 4xe versions with plug-in hybrid engine at Euro 49,200.
