Growing up in Malaysia, her attentions were diverted to several musical scenes as varied as classical Indian and Western music, which eventually led to electronic music. She soon started attending local parties in Perth and Melbourne. Collecting music most of her life, she soon found herself immersed in this new electronic sound she discovered. It wouldn't be long before she realised that she really desired to be on the other side of the DJ booth. Her DJ career began in earnest, and over the following years, she started playing at after-parties, small clubs, and gatherings, establishing her name and sound in minimal techno and micro house. Having also orbited with her productions and selections across Europe, Sharanya brings a lifetime of musical sensitivity from minimal techno into jungle with a preference to hyper-detailed, complex and mind-soothing percussive beats. Her sets are refined, hypnotic, and detailed, balancing groove with spaciousness, melody with subtle propulsion, operating with the calm focus of a seasoned traveller moving between sound systems, merging gentle yet earthy elements with space. She’s played in Melbourne, Sydney, Berlin, Barcelona, Romania and Lithuania. She’s also shared a lineup with acts such as Andrea Ferlin, Bella Sarris, Funk E (RIP), Special Request, Stones Taro, Nectax, Rasa and Pugilist.
