It protects individuals from being discriminated against. 15:06 2️⃣ Common human rights violations in the workplace • One of the most common human rights violations in the workplace involves employee disability, and an employer's failure to accommodate an employee's medical condition. 16:19 3️⃣ Limits of Workplace Accommodation • If an employer can prove that they tried to fulfill their duty to accommodate, but doing so would put undue hardship on the company, they may not have to provide accommodation. 18:20 4️⃣ Harassment and Human Rights • Harassment in the workplace becomes a human rights issue if it based on a prohibited ground under the Human Rights Code. 19:20 5️⃣ What To Do If Human Rights Violated • An employee should inform their employer about human rights violations in the workplace.
