Some days didn’t go as planned, especially when it rained, so we just worked inside and kept going. The second floor had an open view and you could hear birds all the time, so we made a small space for them using scrap wood and bamboo. Outside, we picked up stones and slowly turned the empty yard into a small courtyard with plants and simple paths. Nothing was perfect and we had to redo things more than once, but little by little the house began to change.
