In May 2026 I made a strategic call to rotate into precious metals ETFs — GDX, GDXJ, IAU, SILJ and SLV. It backfired. As of June 29th, 2026, I am sitting on an unrealized loss of $112,200 across two Interactive Brokers accounts — one in Europe, one here in the UAE where I recently relocated. I am not panic selling. I am not hiding from it.
