Native American Knife Found made of material that is not from the area, showing trade and or travel was happening in Lake county CA with other areas. the region has a long history of permanent habitation going back ten thousand years at least. it is known for being a region continuously inhabited by indigenous people , without any breaks in that linear occupation, and its known that at any one time up to five separate peoples coexisted here in harmony sharing the resources. I feel blessed to be able to recover this tool from the ground and bring it back into the care of myself and others that can learn from it, cherish it and preserve it as a continuous part of the ongoing legacy of its makers.
