18 km that you MUST hike! Łysica - Łysa Góra Trail Looking for a day trip to the mountains? This Świętokrzyski classic is a trail you simply must hike. This is the most interesting section of the Świętokrzyskie Main Trail. We start in the town of Święta Katarzyna and end in Nowa Słupia. Our route begins with a climb to Łysica, the highest peak of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains (Łysica 614 m above sea level). We'll show you both peaks: the western peak and Agata's Rock. We'll stay within the boundaries of Świętokrzyski National Park. The climb to Łysica takes an hour at a leisurely pace. At the foot of Łysica, but on the other side, lies the village of Kakonin, where we'll eat at Chata Kaka and see a 19th-century historic cottage. At this point, the mountain hike will temporarily transform into a paved walk, but it won't be boring. The views are breathtaking. After a while, we re-enter the ŚPN and hike through the forest to the Glassworks. If you're curious how to climb Łysa Góra, one of the routes leads from this village. At the summit of Święty Krzyż (Łysa Góra), we admire the largest boulder field in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, and indeed in Poland.
