How do you dial in your grind to get great flavors? Let's dig in. The espresso recipe is: Freshly roasted coffee 17g-19g of fresh ground espresso 25-30 seconds extraction time 1:2 ratio of grind to espresso So, if you have 18g of grind in your portafilter basket, you want to stop your extraction at about 36g of espresso liquid, and you want that extraction to take 25-30 seconds With a cheap scale and a little practice you can have cafe quality espresso without any trouble!
