160hp Ginetta G12 + OnBoard - Rare 1966 UK Race Car -1.6-Litre Twin-Cam Engine - Mugello Circuit

It's rare to see a 1966 Ginetta G12. I had the pleasure of filming this UK racing version with OnBoard during some free practice sessions at the Mugello circuit. The car belongs to Matteo Panini, historic cars collector and a proper gentleman driver. We have to thank him for allowing us to install an action cam inside. Built-in a few specimens, it looks like a small two-seater coupé powered by a 1.6-litre twin-cam 4-cylinder in-line mid-rear engine. The power is respectable, about 160hp at 7,500 rpm and the performances, thanks also to the weight of only 780kg, are excellent. The top speed is close to 225 km/h (140 mph). The gearbox is a 5-speed by Hewland, and there are Girling disc brakes on each wheel. As you will notice from the onboard footage, the Ginetta G12 performs very well even on fast tracks such as the Mugello circuit. Ho avuto il piacere di filmare questa versione da corsa made in UK con tanto di OnBoard durante alcune sessioni di prove libere all'autodromo del Mugello. La vettura appartiene a Matteo Panini, collezionista di auto storiche e discreto pilota che ringraziamo per averci consentito di installare una action cam nell'abitacolo. Vettura costruita in pochi esemplari, si presenta come un piccolo coupè due posti mosso da un motore da 1.6 litri twin-cam 4 cilindri in linea posizionato in zona centrale/posteriore. La potenza è di tutto rispetto, circa 160cv a 7.500 giri/min e le prestazioni, anche grazie al peso di soli 780kg sono ottime. La velocità di punta è prossima ai 225 Km/h (140 mph). Il cambio è un Hewland a 5 rapporti e vi sono quattro freni a disco Girling su ogni ruota. Come noterete dalle riprese onBoard la Ginetta G12 si comporta splendidamente anche in piste veloci come l'autodromo del Mugello.
