How to Make an Origami Pterodactyl

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to fold a really cool origami pterosaur — inspired by the ancient flying reptile known as the Pterodactyl! Although often mistaken for dinosaurs, pterodactyls were actually pterosaurs — close relatives that lived around 150 million years ago. With huge wings made of skin stretched over long bones, they soared through prehistoric skies. Some were as small as pigeons, while others reached the size of small airplanes! These carnivores fed on fish and small animals, and while they could walk, they were much more graceful in the air. 📐 This origami version is easy to intermediate and requires just one square sheet of paper (20x20 cm or about 8x8 inches). You don’t need scissors or glue — just follow the step-by-step instructions! 🧠 I learned a similar model from this video:    • ORIGAMI DINOSAUR FLYING PTERODACTYL   My version includes a few small changes, but the overall result is very similar. –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– 00:00 Intro 00:16 Base 03:34 Wings 07:46 Head 10:54 Final details
