After the war, Dzierżoniów became one of the largest communities of Polish Jews who survived the Holocaust inflicted on them by the Germans during World War II. In 1946, over 11,800 of them lived in this small town in Lower Silesia, often the sole survivors of entire families, carrying a terrible burden of memories and trauma. Each of these people is a unique story, and in this episode, we present just a few of them.
