Divalux Hotel near Suvarnabhumi Airport - What did I really think?

Last year I stayed over at Siam Mandarina Hotel before I flew to Phuket. So, this time I decided to try Divalux Resort & Spa Bangkok – Suvarnabhumi Airport. The driver of the Hotel Shuttle who met me at the Airport was very friendly. Providing a FREE Hotel Shuttle for guests, is not only a PLUS POINT but it’s very CONVENIENT. The staff at the reception was also friendly and helpful. I must admit I was disappointed when I wasn’t offered a “Welcome Drink” because it was very, very hot! Shortly, after I arrived I met TAMARAT (Food & Beverage Manager) who showed me around. He is such an ASSET to the Hotel. Later I enjoyed a delicious Thai Dinner in the Thai Restaurant. The manager was very helpful and friendly. Also, the Manager on Duty at breakfast, the next morning, was very friendly and professional. I had a good breakfast and the OMELETTE was the BEST I had during the 24 DAYS I was in Thailand. (I stayed at 12 HOTELS.) Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to swim but everyone seemed to have a great time at the pool. We really enjoyed staying at Divalux Hotel although there were a few things that I am certain Management is not aware of. First impressions are very important. Before I checked in I sat on a sofa with a HUGE stain. Also, the chair in the Thai Restaurant where we sat had stains on it. There were also problems in our room and bathroom. Housekeeping should make sure that everything is in working order, and if not, report it before guests occupy a room. Next to the toilet there was a leak. We just threw towels on the floor because we were leaving early the next morning. One of the lamps in the room was out of order, and one of the curtains was torn. The next morning, I discovered the hairdryer was not working. I phoned and asked if I could have another one but they never brought it to my room. For me, this was the biggest problem because I want to look presentable for my viewers. Luckily, we had a great night’s sleep because the BED and PILLOWS were WONDERFUL! Lastly, I would like to thank ‪@EVAAIRVIDEO‬ EVA AIR for the good flight, food, and excellent service!
