Get Ready To Foam Up With This DIY Liquid Soap Recipe!

Today I'm going to show you how to make foaming soap. Use it as hand soap or body wash. RECIPE Water (400-2000 milliliters), 10 grams powder surfactant (I used sodium lauryl sulfoacetate -SLSa), 10 milliliters liquid surfactant (I used cocamidopropyl betaine), 10 milliliters fragrance oil, 5 milliliters polysorbate 20 because it’s thinner than poly 80, but you can use polysorbate 80 as long as it doesn’t thicken the mixture {the mixture needs to be as thin as water}. *I thought about adding a preservative as this recipe contains water, but I didn’t (I was being lazy) but now I regret it as my coconut soap started souring. I added a preservative and now it's okay. But my point is: ADD A PRESERVATIVE ANYTIME YOUR RECIPE CONTAINS WATER!!! Germall Plus is a good one. Use any powder surfactant as long as it dissolves in water. The SLSa creates fluffy foam and a thick lather. The liquid surfactant (cocamidopropyl betaine) is a foam booster and stabilizer. I don’t recommend adding more fragrance than this (it won't mix as good), but If you do, add more emulsifier as well. DIRECTIONS Mix powder surfactant and about 100 milliliters of distilled water. Microwave it so the powder is fully dissolved. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Now add more water. I added a total of 400 milliliters, but you can quadruple this! If using this as body wash, stick with the recipe. But if it's just for hand soap, you can double, triple, or quadruple the water as there is no difference in foam production! You can make concentrated liquid soap to mix later; make the recipe as before just don’t add the additional water at the end.
