മിയാവാക്കി വനത്തിന്റെ ശക്തമായ ചെറുത്തു നില്‌പിന്‌ ഒരു സ്‌പഷ്ടമായ ഉദാഹരണമാണ്‌ ‌ നാല്‌ മാസം മുന്‍പ്‌ സ്ഥാപിച്ച മിയാവാക്കി ഫ്രൂട്ട്‌ ഫോറസ്റ്റ്‌. പേയാടിലെ ഈ പ്ലോട്ടിന്‌ ഒരുപാട്‌ പോരായ്‌മകള്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കാലാവസ്ഥയിലെ മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ക്കനുസരിച്ച്‌ ഇവിടെത്തെ ഭൂമിയില്‍ വേഗം വെള്ളക്കെട്ട്‌ ഉണ്ടാകുകയും അതു പോലെ വരള്‍ച്ച ഉണ്ടാകുകയും ചെയ്യും. മൂന്നു വശങ്ങളിലും മരങ്ങളുടെ ശക്തമായ നിഴല്‍ കാരണം സൂര്യപ്രകാശത്തിന്റെ ലഭ്യത വളരെ കുറവ്‌ ആയിരുന്നു. ഇതിനു പുറമെ ശരിയായ പരിചരണത്തിന്റെ അഭാവവും, ജലലഭ്യതക്കുറവും, ചെടികള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ അനാവശ്യ വള്ളിച്ചെടികളുടെ വളര്‍ച്ചയും കടന്നു കയറ്റവും ഉണ്ടായി. ഈ പ്രതികൂല സാഹചര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും ഈ മിയാവാക്കി ഫ്രൂട്ട്‌ ഫോറസ്റ്റിന്‌ നല്ല വളര്‍ച്ച ഉണ്ടായി എന്നത്‌ ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്‌. A Miyawaki fruit forest set up four months back by Anitha and Jayakumar her husband is a palpable example of the resilience of the Miyawaki forest. The plot at Peyad where it was created suffers from multiple disadvantages. It is a marshy area that gets water-logged and dry by turns, and has thick shade falling on it from three sides. Besides, the forest suffered some neglect too that resulted in poor irrigation and invasion of creepers.
