After a few days riding at Southern Oregon's Spence & Moore Parks you might be ready for the High Lakes Trail circuit. It's a classic Bike-a-Hike expedition. The forest scenery is some of the best in Oregon, the roll is a gentle downhill, and the crowds are a distant memory. If riding in spring you'll want to check TrailForks ridelogs for the 'all clear' sign before you head out because the amount of deadfall cut- throughs here was mind boggling (This is my second attempt to complete this route.) Truly the High Lakes Trail Loop is a criminally underappreciated and under-utilized circuit when considering the number of hours that certainly went in to building through the lava fields and clearing the lumber. ... highly recommended experience...
