What you’re about to witness… is a full Wild West takeover 🤠🎢 In Episode 10 of our histCOASTERy series, The Thrill Guys roll into Frontier City in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma a theme park that began as a western movie backlot and grew into a full scale thrill park under Six Flags. This one has serious personality, deep history, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. This episode is a big one for us because we were granted on ride filming permission, which means you are getting rare POV moments from inside the action. We set out to take on four of the park’s coasters including Steel Lasso, Silver Bullet, Wildcat, and Frankie's Mine Train, giving real time reactions and ranking them in true histCOASTERy fashion… while skipping Diamondback this round because it was closed. But the rides are only part of the story. We got completely soaked on Renegade Rapids, took a mouth full of water on Mystery River Log Flume, and jumped into the interactive dark ride Quick Draw where things got way more competitive than expected. Then we caught the live Wild West stunt shootout show and stepped directly into the soak zone… which absolutely delivered. Somewhere in the middle of all this, we also attempted to sing songs from Oklahoma! and failed spectacularly. From its roots as a frontier film set to what it is today, Frontier City might be one of the most underrated parks in the United States.
