The History of Sound Techniques. The Roundtable with Drew

Danny White, the owner of Sound Techniques, is a true master of taking on challenges. In 2015, he acquired the company responsible for crafting one of the most elite and premium recording consoles from 1965 to 1974. Sunset Sound was the first in the United States to obtain one of these exquisite English-made consoles, which ended up being utilized on some of the most legendary albums of all time from music icons such as John Lennon, Frank Zappa, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Captain Beefheart, The Doors, and Elton John, among others. Danny, in a riveting discussion at Sunset Sound, delves into his new partnership with Sunset Sound owner Paul Camarata. Accompanying them is sound engineer and Sound Techniques associate Brian Kehew, who shares his experiences with Sound Techniques. The roundtable further divulges information about where these consoles were housed inside famous recording studios worldwide, including De Lane Lea, Trident, Kingston, Jamaica, Elektra Records, and more.
