Carmelo Anthony Funniest Moments

Carmelo Anthony is now a top 10 all-time scorer in NBA History. Only seemed right to do a video on him for accomplishing such a milestone. Melo has been relevant a good part of my life, especially with his Baltimore ties and me growing up not too far from the city. I'll never forget buying his shoes just because they had the 410 area code on them which was the same as my actual phone number lol. And his first pair of shoes were some of my favorites all-time! One thing you can say about Melo is through his entire career, he has stayed the same Melo. Melo has always been one of the greatest scorers in the history of the game and now he is in the record books to prove it. For this special occasion I started the video highlighting the Blazers surprise celebration for Carmelo's milestone. I also concluded the video with Melo's locker room speech (he never has been much of a talker) to his Blazers team which I thought was a nice touch. A lot of stuff has been said about the NBA "blackballing" Carmelo for that brief time after he was released from the Rockets but let's be honest here. Carmelo through his career has not ever been known as a real team oriented guy and now that he was no longer in his prime, I think it was fair that teams chose not to sign him. Especially considering that is was reported that during his time with the Rockets he initially refused to come off the bench. But part of that confidence is what has given Melo such a huge fan base throughout his career. I still haven't seen many runs in College Basketball like I did in Carmelo's first and only year with Syracuse. That was legendary. The question is, how much credit do you give Melo and his professional career that didn't feature as much team success as some of his counter parts like LeBron and D-Wade. And unlike guys like Chris Paul, Melo's teams not only didn't win a championship, they rarely made the playoffs especially after he left Denver. Melo is a legend, and a sure thing hall of famer. I just think it is important we look at all angles for the people that claim he always gets hated on or never gets enough credit. But now Melo has something only 9 other players can say. That he is a top 10 all-time scorer of the NBA.
