Well done if you spotted today's deliberate mistake! ** Robert Llewellyn test drives the new, affordable small electric crossover SUV, the MG ZS EV (also known as the MG EZS). Although there were some slight oddities and complexities (okay, quirks) with the driver interface and charging in the MG ZS EV, Robert really enjoyed driving this new entrant into the electric car market. As predicted, electric cars are getting cheaper to buy, (they are already much cheaper to run). Could this eco friendly SUV help bring electric vehicles to the masses? The MG zero emissions ZS EV features a water-cooled 44.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, a front-mounted electric motor which delivers 105 kW / 143 PS of power and 353 Nm of instant torque. Water-cooling manages the battery temperature allowing frequent rapid charging and improved range, with 163 miles (or 262 km) from a single charge on the WLTP combined cycle.
