Moritz Moszkowski - Barcarolle Op.27 No.1
Moszkowski - Barcarolle Op.27 No.1 This is a Hupfeld piano roll recording made around 1905 by Sally (Salomon) Liebling, a pupil of Franz Liszt. Liebling is featured in the famous photo of Liszt and his pupils, seated left. The piano works of Moszkowski were at one time in the standard piano repertoire but have been unjustifiably forgotten. Unfortunately, Liebling only made a few rolls before his death in 1909, just after the start of piano roll recordings.
