Der Doc fährt (Folge 6) Jaguar XK 120 Coupe von 1954

The Doc out and about with the iconic Jaguar sports car from the 1950s. With the XK 120, Jaguar made a triumphant return to the world stage of automotive manufacturing after World War II at the end of 1948. The car caused a sensation at the London Motor Show and subsequently filled the order books. From 1951 onwards, the roadster was joined by the two-seater coupé. The XK 120 Coupé we are featuring was manufactured on March 31, 1954, and delivered to Los Angeles, where it was registered on May 14. It is one of only 811 SE versions ever built. SE stands for Special Equipment. These vehicles are distinguished by several differences from the standard model. The engine, thanks to larger valves, has 20 more horsepower, producing 180 hp. Wire wheels, a dual exhaust system, and stiffer springs were also part of the package. A re-release due to licensing reasons - first published on March 28, 2022
