#60 Les Crazy Trotters - Africa Trip Vanlife - République Démocratique du Congo RDC (Episode 26)

In this twenty-sixth episode of our Africa Trip, we cross the Democratic Republic of Congo from the border with the Angolan peninsula, Yema, to Matadi. National Road 1 is in poor condition, so we have to take a dirt road that runs along the sea to reach Muanda. Despite the long day of driving ahead of us, we get lost in a maze of dirt roads. In Muanda, the asphalt is back, and we drive "in a long box" to Matadi. Before arriving in Matadi, after hours of driving, we have to cross a bridge where a fight develops, just before the toll booth, with some men. At nightfall, we cross Matadi with Helmut to reach a Catholic mission to spend the night in safety. The next morning, we hit the road again to reach the Angolan border where we meet a gendarme who takes his job seriously.
