Optimus Factory & Adv Chip Site Grow! New Work by Cortex 2! 13 July 2026 Giga Texas Update (7:55 AM)

Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot! Nice day to fly and start up the week, but a quick note to viewers that this might be my last Giga Texas flight this week due to the planned SpaceX Starship Flight 13 (NET 16 July), but if that is the case, I will try to get a updated Tesla Lithium Plant drone flight on my trip down to Starbase. Timestamps: Drone flight overview with discussion & illustration: 0:06 to 3:03 Drone flight footage & infographics: 3:25 to 33:50 In the video introduction, I discuss a new development at Giga Texas announced by Tesla and this has to do with opening autonomous Robotaxi service for employees using Cybercabs (with the Cybercab logos). A new video clip was released on Friday by Tesla making this announcement and it included some new views inside Cybercab in operation, including some app features! Along these lines, I talk about Cybercab testing that was underway yet again at the Giga Texas test track! We see the operations center/marshaling area has two covered maintenance areas, one of which has a single post lift for wheel/tire work & possibly other under-car inspections or tests. I also captured a different Cybercab test today at Giga Texas … this time doing the figure 8 track and low rumble strips next to the End-of-Line building. Finally, I talk about SpaceX Starship Flight 13 coming up in just a few days and that I will be headed there to cover the launch. Because of this, I may not be flying at Giga Texas the rest of the week, but I will try to add in a Tesla Lithium Plant drone video to update our view of this facility since my last flight about 9 weeks ago in May. A few other highlights from today: The Optimus factory has grown again now 8 column lengths (~360 feet or ~100 m N to S) long and almost to full width where the steel assembly is happening. More footings, GeoPiers & for the 1st time, the foundation has extended S into the newly reclaimed land area. Soon I will create a new Grid Map of this facility (similar to the one I made for the main factory) and this will not only allow us to know where equipment and internal facilities are located or being installed, but it will also give us a much better estimation of the actual dimensions. Footings are nearly complete not the entire north end and on the south end, the foundation is reaching into the newly reclaimed land, which will further lengthen the building, inching closer to the Central Campus Support group of facilities which includes the Battery Cathode, Die Shop and Cortex 2 facilities. Over at the east Advanced Technology Chip Fabrication site, we see the main foundation work is growing larger and more defined, but it is still not close to the final dimensions. So far, the beveled corners of the future building have not emerged, so this indicates we have a lot more to watch for. Thank you for watching and I hope this has been informative, educational, and entertaining for you.
