In this video I bring you the epic battle between Raylan Magomedov, a German Jiu-Jitsu and grappling fighter, and a French MMA specialist, at the Defend Fight Club event. Defend Fight Club is a German grass-field MMA competition, literally MMA on grass, and this fight was one of the best of the event. They went at it real, three three-minute rounds each, Raylan at 1.76m tall, 74kg, four fights and four wins in Jiu-Jitsu, against the Frenchman with six fights and six wins in MMA. During the fight, the MMA fighter started very actively in the first round, landing good punches to the face, low kicks, knee strikes, and at the end of the round managed to take Raylan down and almost secured an armlock. In the second round, Raylan evened things out more, exchanging blows on the counter-attack, taking a spinning kick but managing to take him down and pass his opponent's guard, showing his jiu-jitsu skills working in real BJJ. The third round was insane; the Frenchman landed a technical knockout on Raylan, who was on autopilot. He rained punches to the face, ear, and chin, but the jiu-jitsu fighter showed the heart of a warrior and even attempted a heel hook in the final seconds. For anyone who trains jiu-jitsu or BJJ and wants to understand how a real fight against an MMA specialist works, this video is a lesson. You'll see guard sweeps, passing, submission attempts, punch defense, stand-up striking—everything that happens when jiu-jitsu meets MMA on grass without a cage.
