Since I got an old heavy-duty one at a good price, it was the perfect base for this project. However, a lot of work was still needed to get it back into shape. First, I completely disassembled it and removed the surface rust. At the same time, I made a few small improvements, such as welding additional mounting points and reinforcements. For this project, I also powder-coated parts for the first time in my life. The first attempt resulted in a rough finish, probably because the powder was old and wet. Still, the result was even and very sturdy. The second attempt went much better, even though I wasn’t completely satisfied with the powder flow from the gun. In the end, I reassembled everything and also added grease fittings. The rotisserie now rotates perfectly, so I could install it directly onto the body. This makes it easy to work on the underbody, which will be the focus of the next part. I hope you enjoyed the video.
